Moss Side Village Playgroup is a committee run nursery that has been established in the community for many years. We have a team of highly qualified, experienced and dedicated early years practitioners who are committed to providing high standards of care and education for all children.

Nursery is currently open Monday , Tuesday , Wednesday. This will be reviewed at Christmas

There will also be a charge of £3.00 per week, per child for the first child for snacks for all children   accessing funded places.

How we learn at Moss side playgroup

At moss side playgroup your child will learn through play in an exciting and stimulating environment, with opportunities to explore and investigate in many different ways. We have an indoor and outdoor classroom and children can choose where and how they want to learn. Our highly qualified and experienced practitioners will begin with your child’s interests and challenge them in all areas of their learning and development to enable them to grow into independent, resilient, confident and capable learners.

We have a hands on approach to learning and believe that for children to have the freedom to access the learning environment most effectively and become fully engaged in their play and learning they need to be able to make decisions and choices, have access to a wide variety of open ended, natural resource’s, experiment with mixing, digging, painting and constructing on a a large scale and all things messy.  In the Preschool group, children will also take part in daily letters and sounds and maths challenges all through play. We welcome all children in our nursery, our environment can be adapted to support individual children’s needs and children who have special educational needs will be supported to reach their full potential.

Breakfast and Afterschool club

we provide places in the breakfast and afterschool club for children who attend moss side primary school Leyland.

BREAKFAST CLUB 

7:30 – 8:45  children will then be walked to school.

children are walked to and from school safely each day in an orderly partnered manner wearing high vis jackets accompanied by several staff members
